2025 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V: updates explained

TVS has updated its Apache RTR 200 4V with a new top-spec variant that offers better components. Here are all the differences.

Updated Apache RTR 200 4V: Front suspension and handlebar

Earlier, the Apache RTR 200 4V was available only with a golden telescopic fork. Now, TVS has added a new top variant and updated the RTR 200 4V for 2025 with a USD (upside-down) fork. This brings the Apache in line with its chief rival, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, which already offers this component. It is worth mentioning that the USD fork variant sits atop the earlier telescopic fork variant.

To better accommodate the USD fork, TVS has introduced a new hydroformed handlebar, which replaces the tall clip-on bars on the older bike. The brand claims that both updates should have a positive effect on the bike’s handling.

Updated Apache RTR 200 4V: Engine compliance and weight

TVS has also updated the Apache RTR 200’s engine to comply with the latest OBD2B emission norms. However, its power remains unchanged at 20.8hp and 17.25Nm. At 151kg, the USD fork variant is also 2 kilos heavier.

TVS has also enhanced the style quotient by offering contrasting red alloy wheels, which were previously only available in black. However, the design of the alloys remains unchanged.

Updated Apache RTR 200 4V: Colours and price

For 2025, the Apache RTR 200’s colour palette has expanded to include a total of three paint options – grey, black and matte black. While these colours aren’t a radical departure from the previous offerings, it’s good to see manufacturers offering a choice between gloss and matte finishes. The brand has also refreshed the graphics slightly.

Priced at Rs 1.54 lakh, the 2025 model costs Rs 5,000 more than the telescopic fork variant that continues to be sold alongside this.
