Maruti Suzuki Kharkhoda plant in Haryana

Maruti Suzuki has commenced operations at its second plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana, doubling the facility’s total production capacity to 5 lakh units annually. The first plant, operational since February 2025, manufactures the Victoris and Brezza SUVs and has a capacity of 2.5 lakh cars. The company is yet to reveal which cars are being manufactured at the second plant.

  1. Once fully operational, the Kharkhoda facility will have a capacity of 10 lakh units
  2. Maruti’s current annual production capacity across its plants is 26.5 lakh units

Spread across 800 acres in the Sonipat district of Haryana, the Kharkhoda facility will have a manufacturing capacity of 10 lakh units annually once fully operational, making it one of Suzuki’s largest four-wheeler manufacturing locations globally.

Currently, Maruti has a total annual capacity of 26.5 lakh units across all its production sites in the country: 5 lakh units at Gurugram, 9 lakh units at Manesar, 7.5 lakh units at Hansalpur and 5 lakh units at Kharkhoda.

In April 2026, the carmaker announced plans to raise its manufacturing capacity by 5 lakh units with an investment of Rs 14,000 crore. This included the now operational Kharkhoda plant and an upcoming plant at its Gujarat site.
