Tata Nexon price in Gaya

₹8.40 - ₹16.71 Lakh
On road price in
EMI starting at ₹12,228 /month

For the Nexon, the real decision buyers face is not just trim but powertrain: Tata sells the Nexon in petrol, CNG and diesel forms, and depending on which one you pick, there are four distinct gearbox layouts on offer. Once that choice is settled, the on-road math in Gaya becomes straightforward, though it still layers RTO registration, insurance and other statutory charges over the ex-showroom figure, and this markup shifts from city to city. In Gaya, the Petrol Smart MT, the base variant, is priced at Rs. 7.40 lakh ex-showroom, which becomes Rs. 8.40 lakh on-road once these charges are factored in.

  • Base variant, Petrol Smart MT: Rs. 8.40 lakh on-road in Gaya
  • Diesel Fearless + PS Red #Dark AMT, the top variant and top model in the range, with a panoramic sunroof, JBL sound system, blind spot monitor and cornering headlights: Rs. 16.71 lakh on-road
  •  Automatic gearbox trims cost more than the equivalent manual; the Smart AMT, for instance, carries roughly Rs. 1.67 lakh premium over the base model's manual gearbox
  • Autocar's value pick: the Creative petrol trim, which brings adaptive cruise control, climate control and blind spot monitoring without stepping up to the range-topping Fearless trim

An EMI of Rs. 12,228 against a loan of Rs. 7,60,000 is what the base model, Petrol Smart MT, translates to on paper, and that number is a sensible baseline before weighing whether a costlier trim's extra kit justifies the jump. Given that pricing already spans petrol, CNG and diesel across manual and automatic gearboxes, it pays to lock in the powertrain and feature list first, then let that decision steer which trim actually makes sense in Gaya.

Getting a range of around 200-210 km on one full charge with my 2024 Nexon EV. My driving is 50-50 in city and on highways. How much are you people getting?

1w

I live in Bangalore and have to commute to the office daily. I leave home at around 7:00 AM and log out at 3:30 PM from office. My average daily driving is about 50 km, mostly within the city, and I take an occasional highway trip about once a month. My budget is Rs. 15-16 lakh, and I'm looking for the most suitable vehicle considering reliability, driving comfort, fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, and long-term ownership. So far, I've shortlisted Kia Sonet HTX Diesel (concerned about DPF issues due to my city driving), Skoda Kushaq Signature Plus AT, Tata Nexon Creative+ PS Camo DCA and Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5L. Based on my usage pattern, which of these would you recommend, and are there any other better options within my budget?

Based on your usage pattern of 50 km daily city driving with only occasional highway trips, the Kia Sonet diesel is not the best fit. Modern diesel engines with DPF systems are not ideally suited to predominantly urban driving, and while the Sonet is a good car, it is not worth the potential hassle given your usage. The Skoda Kushaq Signature Plus AT is a better option if you enjoy driving, but it is a segment up on the others, which means it will exceed your budget. The Kylaq is the direct rival to the others on your list, but its rear seat can feel a bit tight. The Tata Nexon Creative+ PS Camo DCA is a solid all-rounder with good safety credentials, but the DCA gearbox won't feel as smooth as the torque converter on the XUV 3XO.The Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5L is therefore the recommendation here. It has a premium and spacious cabin, a strong feature set, good safety credentials and a comfortable ride, making it well suited to daily city commuting. The turbo-petrol engine is also punchy and the 6-speed automatic is very smooth. If you are open to alternatives, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza automatic is also worth considering for its reliability, fuel efficiency, low maintenance costs and proven ownership experience, but it lacks the performance of the 3XO.

I used to own a Tata Nexon AMT petrol for five years, but I had to sell it due to a serious manufacturing-related rusting issue and a poor service experience. I’m now looking to buy a new automatic petrol SUV with a budget of up to Rs 14 lakh. The car will mainly be used for weekend driving within the city, with perhaps one long trip every month. The annual running is expected to be only around 5,000- 6,000 km. A car that does not require much hassle in terms of servicing would be a major plus. Good power output and decent fuel efficiency are also important. What options can be considered?

Given your low annual running, weekend city use and a monthly highway trip, a petrol automatic is the right choice. Since you had a poor experience with Tata cars, we would recommend the Maruti Suzuki Brezza automatic. It is a reliable, hassle-free SUV with a proven service network, which is exactly what you are looking for. The 1.5-litre petrol engine is smooth and the 6-speed torque converter automatic is far better than the AMT you had in the Tata Nexon. It is not the most powerful car in the segment, but it is dependable and easy to live with.If you want something with a bit more power and a more engaging driving experience, the Skoda Kylaq 1.0 TSI automatic is a good alternative. The turbo petrol engine is punchy and the 6-speed torque converter automatic is smooth in the city. Skoda's service network is not as extensive as Maruti's, but it has improved significantly in recent years. The Mahindra XUV 3XO petrol automatic is also worth considering. It is one of the most powerful cars in the segment and offers a strong feature list, but the boot is on the smaller side.Overall, the Brezza is the safest recommendation for your requirements. If you want more performance, the Kylaq is the better choice.

Hello everyone, I’m planning to buy my first car with a budget of around Rs. 15 lakh (on-road). I’ve shortlisted the Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 AT and the newly launched Tata Nexon Camo DCA. The updated Nexon now comes with a factory-fitted 360° dashcam, which is a nice addition. I’m planning to buy an automatic, but a few colleagues who own cars have suggested that the Nexon DCA has had reliability concerns and recommended going with the torque converter automatic in the XUV 3XO instead. I’d love to hear opinions from owners and experts. Which one would you recommend for long-term ownership in terms of reliability, driving experience, maintenance, and overall value? Note: I’m from Bangalore and travel to my native place in Andhra Pradesh twice a year, which is roughly 600 km from Bangalore.

Go for the Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 AT. The 3XO is the better long-term ownership proposition. The 6-speed torque converter automatic is a proven, robust gearbox that is well suited to both city driving and long highway runs. This Mahindra car also has a wider cabin and better rear seat comfort, which will make those 600km trips to Andhra far more comfortable for you and your family. The Tata Nexon Camo DCA is a good car, and the 360-degree dashcam is a nice feature, but the DCA dual-clutch automatic gearbox is slow shifting and is not as proven as Mahindra's Aisin-sourced torque converter unit. The 3XO also offers strong performance, good ride quality and a solid feature set at this price point. Overall, it is the more dependable and better-rounded choice. The one thing to keep in mind is that the boot is among the smallest in the segment, which could be an issue when travelling with four or five passengers and their luggage.

My current vehicle is a 2018 Swift VXi hatchback. I drive around 22km daily, about 20km on weekends, and around 100km on long drives once a month. My budget is Rs 12-13 lakh, and my options are the Brezza ZXi, Hyundai Venue, and Tata Nexon. Which car should I prefer?

Verified

Go for the Maruti Suzuki Brezza ZXi. With your daily running of around 22km and a monthly long drive, a petrol compact SUV is the right choice, and the Brezza is the most sensible upgrade from your Swift. It offers a comfortable ride, good ground clearance for bad roads, a reliable and efficient petrol engine, and Maruti’s strong service network, which keeps ownership simple and affordable. This Maruti Suzuki car also now gets the Boosterjet engine, though it is only paired with the manual. The ZXi variant is well equipped and fits your budget comfortably. The Hyundai Venue is a good alternative with a more premium cabin feel, but the Brezza is the more practical and dependable long-term choice. The Tata Nexon is also a strong contender, but Maruti’s ownership experience edges it out for your usage.
