Hyundai Creta price in Baran

₹12.66 - ₹23.84 Lakh
On road price in
EMI starting at ₹18,342 /month

On-road in Baran, the base model Petrol E MT starts at 12.66 lakh and the top model Diesel King Knight AT reaches 23.84 lakh. The Diesel EX(O) AT sits between the two at 18.98 lakh, and that middle section is where most buyers end up.

If you are financing the car, a loan of 11,40,000 on the base model Petrol E MT means an EMI of 18,342 a month. Stepping up to the top model Diesel King Knight AT raises that to 34,592 on a loan of 21,50,000.

Why prices change from the base model to the top model:

  • There are three engines here rather than one, so part of the price difference is the engine you pick before any equipment is counted.

  • The diesel costs more than the 115hp petrol, and the 160hp turbo-petrol sits above both.

  • Four gearboxes are offered across the range, and every automatic option costs more than the manual it replaces.

  • The panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats and the 360-degree camera arrive part way up the range rather than at the bottom.

  • Adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and automatic emergency braking are reserved for the higher variants, which is where the last part of the price goes.

Registration, road tax and insurance are added to the ex-showroom figure, and how much they add depends on the state you buy in. That is why the same variant costs more in one city than another.

Hyundai Creta FAQs

The 2026 Hyundai Creta feels dated in comparison to newer offerings like the Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Renault Duster, Nissan Tekton, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun. As such, it misses out on a lot of new-age features that the rivals offer, while being offered at a similar price compared to the newer rivals. So, even though it is the bestselling midsize SUV, it does not currently offer a lot of value for the price paid.

Service center kept my Creta for 6 days for what they called a "minor" issue and gave zero updates unless I called them myself. Is this normal or did I just get unlucky with mine?

I am using a Datsun redi-GO 2016 model and am planning to upgrade to a 5-seater automatic car. I mostly use it in city traffic, with an average daily travel of 60 km. I have a bit of a back problem, so I need a car that is suited for long-term ownership. I am open to suggestions for current or upcoming cars, except Tata and Mahindra. I initially shortlisted the Creta S (O) and later tried the Kylaq, but the Creta is expensive for my budget. My budget is Rs. 15-18 lakh.

Given your requirements, the Skoda Kylaq automatic is the most sensible recommendation. Your daily running of 60 km in city traffic makes a petrol automatic the right choice, and the Kylaq's 6-speed torque converter automatic is well suited to stop-start conditions. The Kylaq also offers a comfortable ride and supportive seats, which is important given your back problem. It is also a more practical upgrade from your Redigo, offering a higher seating position and better overall comfort without stretching your budget. The Hyundai Creta S Optional is a good car, but it sits at the upper end of your budget and though it does offer additional value like a more spacious cabin. The Kylaq, on the other hand, offers a more engaging driving experience while still delivering a comfortable ride, making it better value for money for your requirements. If you are open to upcoming cars, the Honda Elevate facelift is worth considering as well, as it is expected to offer a comfortable ride and Honda's reputation for reliability. However, the Kylaq remains the stronger recommendation given your budget and requirements.

I am confused between the following cars: Renault Duster Adventure 1.3 DCT, Kia Seltos HTK(O) IVT, and Hyundai Creta S(O) IVT. We are a family of 3-4 with average builds, and we have comfortably used a Tiago for the last 6-7 years. I know I will enjoy driving the Duster, but from a practical standpoint, even the Kia and Creta seem very good at this point. Hence, the confusion. I haven't done many long trips in the Tiago, but I am planning to change that with the new car. I mainly want a car with comfortable ride quality that I can enjoy for a long time.

Go for the Renault Duster 1.3 DCT. You have already identified the key point: you will enjoy driving the Duster, and that matters a lot when you are planning to do more long trips. The Duster also has an exceptionally comfortable ride, and the 1.3 turbo petrol paired with the DCT is a strong, enjoyable combination on highways. It is also a proven package, so reliability is not a major concern. The Seltos and Creta are both excellent cars, and from a purely practical standpoint, they are very strong options. The Seltos feels slightly more premium inside, while the Creta prioritises comfort and refinement. However, neither car offers the same level of driving engagement or ride comfort as the Duster. The only real drawback with the Duster is that the rear seat is not the most spacious in the segment, but for a family of 3-4 with average builds, it is perfectly adequate. Overall, the Duster strikes the best balance between comfort, driving enjoyment and long-term ownership satisfaction.

I have been using Honda City manual for the last 21 years. Now, I want a car with automatic transmission for city running mostly. My average running is around 1000km a month. Can you suggest whether I should buy Seltos, Creta, Kushaq or Elevate?

Verified

Given your usage of around 1,000 km a month, mostly in the city, the priority should be a smooth and reliable automatic transmission, good ride comfort and ease of ownership. The Kia Seltos IVT is the most natural recommendation here. The IVT gearbox is also very smooth, and the Seltos feels more premium and feature-rich than the competition. Alternatively, consider the Honda Elevate. The CVT is exceptionally smooth in stop-start traffic, Honda’s ownership experience is proven, and the car is simple, reliable and easy to live with. The Skoda Kushaq is the driver’s choice, with a more engaging driving experience, but in city running, that doesn't matter much. The Hyundai Creta is a good all-rounder, but it is due for a full model change in 2027, which makes the Seltos and Elevate stronger recommendations at this point.

Is the Creta available with a torque converter automatic and an NA engine?

Verified
1w

No, the Hyundai Creta with a naturally aspirated petrol engine is not paired to a torque converter automatic. The Creta's naturally aspirated petrol engine is offered only with a manual gearbox or a CVT (Hyundai calls it IVT). The only Creta variant with a torque converter automatic is the diesel, which uses a 6-speed torque converter automatic. If you specifically want a naturally aspirated petrol engine with a torque converter automatic, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder are the only options in the mid-size SUV segment.
