Problem is with those sort of power figures, Hyundai Verna costing something like 1/3rd the Sante Fe's price would leave it for dead in a drag or at the traffic light's...A typical Hyundai trait of a by gone era: All Show and No Go! BTW I think the kerb weight is going to be almost 2 tons by the look of it and a sub 10 secs 0-100 is just not good. There is neither power nor that diesel like torque to talk of: Hyundai can market is as a poor man's Rangie and may get a few bookings for that...Plonk in a 3.0liter V6 diesel or an electric power train then would make sense: biggest Achilles heel of the Santa Fe is beneath the bonnet...
