Leading up to its April 2026 launch in India, the Vinfast MPV 7 has once again been spotted testing on public roads wearing extensive camouflage. Earlier only referred to as the Limo Green, this upcoming electric MPV will join the Vietnamese brand’s India line-up that currently consists of the VF6 and VF7 SUVs. Upon its arrival, the Vinfast MPV 7 is likely to find competition in the Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMax 7.
- Test mules showcase aero-optimised wheels and SUV-like design cues

- India launch expected in mid-April 2026
- 'MPV 7' for private buyers and 'Limo Green' for commercial entities
Vinfast MPV 7 design
There are SUV-esque elements to this exterior
These new spy shots of the upcoming Vinfast MPV 7 showcase a sloping bonnet that leads to a low nose, which houses sleek wraparound LED daytime running lights (DRLs) with the vertically aligned main headlamps placed below in the bumper. The lower apron looks sporty with its protruding chin and a centrally located air dam.

Around the sides, we can see aero-optimised wheels with disc brakes front and back, plus black lower-body cladding. The window-line tapers towards the rear and appears to feature a thin chrome strip as well, while the upright-looking rear pillars and extended overhang at the back with a relatively flat roofline could lend the MPV 7 an SUV-esque stance from certain angles. Instead of the flush door handles that are common on most new EVs nowadays, the test mule of the Vinfast MPV 7 can be seen sporting the traditional pull-type mechanism.

Meanwhile, the upright rear facade gets black cladding for the bumper that also features vertical vents and static reflectors, a protruding roof spoiler up top and horizontally laid-out LED tail-lights that appear to have a wrap-around design. That said, these spy shots do not reveal connected LED bars at the rear. These new spy shots also showcase the Vinfast MPV 7 to be a fairly large vehicle, though we do not know the exact dimensions as yet. However, it would be fair to say that this EV will occupy a fair bit of real estate on our roads.
Vinfast MPV 7 interior and expected features
The MPV 7’s cabin should be roomy enough to seat up to 7 people

While these spy images do not show the interior of the Vinfast MPV 7 in particular, they do reveal a few details nevertheless. On the dashboard, we can see a tablet-style touchscreen, which is likely to be a 10.1-inch head unit as available in the Limo Green that is sold in other markets. As mentioned in one of our earlier Limo Green stories (which we now know will be called the MPV 7 in India), this upcoming electric MPV is also likely to feature wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, automatic climate control and powered front seats, among other modern convenience-related equipment. These new spy shots also show headrests right at the back which, along with the extended rear overhang and the ‘MPV 7’ nomenclature, possibly confirming a third row of seats.

The Vinfast Limo Green, as it is sold in Vietnam, comes equipped with a 60.13kWh battery pack, which then energises a front-mounted electric motor that produces 201hp and 280Nm. The claimed NEDC range of the Vietnam-market Limo Green is 450km, and the battery pack of this electric MPV is capable of accepting 11kW AC charging and 80kW DC fast-charging. While the automaker hasn’t mentioned a specific launch date yet for the India-spec model, we expect the Vinfast MPV 7 to make its debut here in mid-April 2026. Interestingly, there will be a Limo Green version in India as well, but this will be sold exclusively to commercial operators.
