Skoda has revealed the first exterior design sketches of its upcoming Peaq electric SUV ahead of its global debut on June 23. Previewed by the Vision 7S concept, the seven-seat Peaq will serve as Skoda’s flagship electric offering. It is expected to become the brand’s largest and most expensive production model.

  1. 4,874mm-long eSUV to be offered in five- and seven-seat configurations
  2. Boot space of up to 1,010 litres claimed in five-seat form
  3. Up to 600km-plus claimed range and dual-motor AWD option expected

Skoda Peaq: Exterior design

The design sketches preview the production-spec Peaq, which adopts Skoda’s latest design language. At the front, it features slim T-shaped lighting elements linked by a horizontal light bar, along with a gloss-black closed-off grille panel. The SUV has an upright stance with a prominent lower bumper section and clean surfacing.

In profile, the Peaq gets a high shoulder line, wide D-pillars and flush-fitting door handles. The sketches also reveal aero-optimised alloy wheels, a relatively flat beltline and a prominent rear spoiler. At the rear, the SUV adopts T-shaped tail-lights, continuing a design theme seen at the front.

Largest Skoda yet

Skoda has previously confirmed that the Peaq will measure 4,874mm in length and have a 2,965mm wheelbase, making it the largest model in its portfolio to date. For context, the Enyaq has a 2,766mm wheelbase, while the Kodiaq measures 2,791mm between its axles.

The Peaq will be offered in five-seat and seven-seat configurations. In the five-seat form, Skoda claims a boot capacity of up to 1,010 litres, which would make it the most spacious production Skoda yet. A 37-litre front trunk will also be available.

Other expected features include wireless charging, an augmented-reality head-up display and an electrochromic panoramic sunroof with adjustable opacity. Depending on the trim level, there will either be a two-spoke steering wheel or a three-spoke unit.

The Peaq will also get several of Skoda’s signature practicality-focused features, including a ticket holder, a cleaning cloth for touchscreen and windscreen washers integrated into the wiper arms. An optional Relax Package will add massaging seats with electrically adjustable footrests, along with dedicated climate control and ambient lighting settings. This package also includes pillows and a foldable table, plus a wellness app with several modes, including relaxation, stretching and re-energising.

Good move; it cuts dependence on crude oil imports
I support it as it’s a greener solution than pure petrol
I’ll accept it only if it’s cheaper than E20 petrol
I am concerned about damage to my vehicle
Not good; fuel efficiency will drop even further
