Nissan Magnite facelift: what’s new?

The Magnite facelift gets a reworked front bumper and grille assembly. The shape of the headlamps will likely remain the same as the pre-facelift model, save for a new signature for the LED daytime running lamps. The Magnite is als expected to get a new set of alloy wheels. According to sources, even updates to the interior will be limited to new trim pieces and some additional features; the overall dashboard will remain largely unchanged.

With this facelift, Nissan will also start producing left-hand drive (LHD) versions in India for exports. Nissan already exports RHD versions from its Oragadam plant.

Nissan Magnite facelift: no mechanical changes

The existing 1.0-litre petrol engine line-up will be carried forward unchanged: the naturally aspirated unit produces 72hp and 96Nm, while the turbocharged version churns out 100hp and 160Nm. The 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes will also be carried over as is.

The Nissan Magnite facelift will continue to be one of the most affordable compact SUVs in India upon launch, along with its French counterpart, the Renault Kiger. It will continue to compete with the likes of the Maruti Fronx and Tata Punch at the lower end and the likes of the Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon at the higher-end of its price range.
