In May 2026, Maruti Suzuki announced that it would hike prices across its lineup by up to Rs 30,000 in June. At the time of the announcement, it was unclear by how much each model's price would increase. We’ve just got our hands on the exact quantum of the price hike on select Maruti models, while the carmaker stated that it has been in effect since June 14, 2026.

While the WagonR and Eeco see the least price increase of Rs 5,000, the e Vitara sees the highest at Rs 30,000.
Maruti stated that the price hike is the result of a steady rise in input costs and strong inflationary pressures, and it's imperative for the carmaker to pass on some impact of the additional cost to customers via the increased prices. However, Maruti isn't the only automaker to hike prices. Brands like Hyundai, Kia, and Tata Motors have also announced price hikes across their respective portfolios, citing similar reasons.
