Maruti Suzuki has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to further its service network. With over 5,780 service centres spread across 2,882 cities, Maruti already has the nation’s most expansive sales and service network. Similarly, Indian Oil operates over 41,000 fuel stations in the country, maintaining a strong presence in both urban and rural locations.
- The partnership will give Maruti access to Indian Oil’s touchpoints even in remote areas
- Select Indian Oil outlets will offer routine maintenance, minor repairs and even major services
By joining hands with the country’s leading energy giant, the carmaker will be able to offer plenty more service centres with the added advantage of convenient locations for its customers. These new service stations will be able to conduct minor repairs on cars, along with providing routine maintenance. While major services can also be carried out at these centres, the level of these services will differ based on location. Moreover, the services provided will only be available at select Indian Oil outlets.

Speaking for Maruti Suzuki India Limited was executive officer (Service), Ram Suresh Akella, who stated, “Our goal is to make car servicing as easy and convenient as possible for our customers. By partnering with Indian Oil, one of India’s most trusted Maharatna enterprises, we will leverage their unmatched reach to take our after-sales service to locations frequently visited by our customers.”
IOCL’s director of marketing, Saumitra Priya Srivastava, added, “Indian Oil is committed to enhancing the customer experience at our fuel stations through value-added services. By partnering with Maruti Suzuki, we are integrating world-class automotive maintenance along with our energy offerings.”
