The eVX is Maruti Suzuki's first-born electric SUV jointly developed with Toyota – which will also have its own eVX counterpart. The eVX will be based on the 40PL Skateboard architecture. Besides the eVX, Maruti will also showcase the new Swift and the made-in-India WagonR CBG

  1. eVX will be built in India for domestic and export markets
  2. Will feature a 60kWh battery; entry-level variant to get 48kWh battery
  3. Promises a driving range of 500km

Maruti Suzuki eVX interior: what we know so far

Maruti eVX interior to be revealed at Tokyo Motor ShowSpy shot showed us a glimpse of the Maruti eVX interior.

Whilst the carmaker hasn't revealed much about the eVX's interior, the spy shots of the test mule spotted earlier revealed a twin-screen setup alongside vertical AC vents and a refreshed flat-bottom steering wheel design. The interior also featured a floating centre console design with a rotary dial. Apart from this, no other information is available at this point. We will get a comprehensive view when the brand reveals the cabin at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month.

Maruti Suzuki eVX dimensions, rivals

Measuring 4,300mm in length, 1,800mm in width and 1,600mm in height, the eVX SUV will sit on a 2,700mm long wheelbase. With these dimensions in tow, it will be poised to take on the Hyundai Creta EV slated to go on sale in early 2025.

Spy shots of the heavily camouflaged test mule showcase a toned-down exterior design with a coupe-like sloped rear end and a closed-off grille. Suzuki added that the exterior has evolved since the concept was showcased at Auto Expo 2023.

Maruti Suzuki eVX powertrain, battery, launch timeline

Suzuki has revealed that the eVX will boast a battery range of 500km; the concept previously had a 60kWh battery with a 550km range. We expect Maruti to launch the eVX with an entry-level variant too with a 48kWh battery and a 400km range.

The eVX will be launched globally in October 2024 and built in India for domestic and export markets.
