Mahindra’s new family of born EVs, which are based on the brand’s INGLO platform, are currently under development and design patents show how close the first three models are to production. While the first model from this family of EV SUVs will be the BE.05, the second one will be the larger BE.07.

    1. Production Mahindra BE.07 looks similar to the concept
    2. Expected to sit above the likes of the Creta EV, eVX
    3. Expected to launch in April 2026

    Mahindra BE.07 design, interior

The design patents show that Mahindra has stayed true to the BE.07 concept that was first showcased on August 15, 2022. The production-spec BE.07 will have a traditional SUV design – it’ll have fewer creases and lines than the sportier-looking BE.05, and a more upright stance. While the larger SUV (4.6m long compared to the BE.05, which is 4.3m) has the same C-shaped headlights and tail-lights, they are less angular than the smaller BE EV SUV.

Considering the concept measured 4,565mm in length, 1,900mm in width and 1,660mm in height, with a 2,775mm-long wheelbase, the production BE.07 will be positioned above the likes of the Maruti eVX, the Hyundai Creta EV, and the upcoming Tata Curvv EV.

Although the patent images do not show the BE.07’s interior, Mahindra had previewed the cabin when the concept was revealed. A giant screen, which seems divided into three parts, dominates the dashboard, there’s a large panoramic sunroof and a distinct lack of physical buttons; touch and haptic feedback seem to be the way forward for Mahindra.

    Mahindra BE.07 range, battery

As we had reported previously, Mahindra’s BE family of EV SUVs, which are all underpinned by the INGLO platform, are expected to be powered by battery packs in the range of 60-80kWh, with claimed ranges between 435-450km (WLTP), though which one will be powering the BE.07 is yet to be confirmed. Rear-wheel drive and all-wheel versions could also be on offer, with outputs from the electric motors ranging between 231-286hp for the RWD BE.07, and 340-394hp for the AWD model.

More details will arrive closer to the Mahindra BE.07's launch in April 2026, so stay tuned.
