    Hyundai Elantra facelift: What to expect from each variant

    Hyundai has announced that it will launch the Elantra facelift in India on October 3, 2019. The updated sedan features heavily revised styling and, unlike the model it replaces, will only be offered with a BS6 petrol engine option, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a torque converter automatic gearbox.

    As per dealer sources, the updated Elantra will be available in a choice of three trim levels – S, SX and SX(O). Here’s a look at the features you can expect with each variant:

    Hyundai Elantra S

    • 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
    • Projector headlamps with DRLs
    • 16-inch alloy wheels
    • ABS with EBD
    • 6 airbags
    • ISOFIX child seat mounts
    • Disc brakes on all four wheels
    • Steering mounted audio controls
    • Electrically adjustable wing mirrors
    • Driver seat height adjust
    • Front-centre armrest

    Hyundai Elantra SX

    In addition to the equipment on the S trim, the SX will also pack in the following

    • 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation
    • Hyundai BlueLink connectivity features
    • Infinity sound system
    • Rear view camera
    • Auto headlamps
    • Vehicle stability management
    • Hill-start assist
    • Electric sunroof
    • Power folding wing mirrors
    • Dual-zone climate control
    • Drive modes (AT only)
    • Cruise control
    • Keyless entry and go
    • Hands-free tailgate opening

    Hyundai Elantra SX(O)

    Building on the SX trim, the fully loaded Elantra will get:

    • Tyre pressure monitoring system
    • LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs
    • Wireless phone charger
    • 10-way power adjust for driver’s seat
    • Front seat ventilation
    • Front parking sensors
    • Leather upholstery

    The Elantra facelift will rival the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla Altis and the Skoda Octavia.
