Citroen India has revealed fresh details of its upcoming C3 Aircross SUV. The company will be opening bookings for the upcoming SUV in September and prices are expected to be announced around the same time. Deliveries for the C3 Aircross will commence in October 2023.

  1. Citroen C3 Aircross will get two seating options
  2. Will be offered in a single fully-loaded Max trim
  3. Won't get a sunroof on any variant

Citroen C3 Aircross powertrain and fuel economy

The C3 Aircross will come with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that churns out 110hp and 190Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. An automatic gearbox option is likely to join at a later stage. This engine is the same as the one that powers the C3 turbo hatchback.

Along with confirming the powertrain details, Citroen has also announced its fuel efficiency details. The C3 Aircross has a claimed ARAI-certified fuel economy figure of 18.5kpl. With this powertrain, the C3 Aircross squarely competes against the entry-level, 1.0-litre turbo petrol variants, or the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol variants of other midsize SUVs.

Here's how the C3 Aircross' efficiency compares against its rivals. Do note that the ARAI-claimed fuel economy of all other models here is an average of both manual and automatic powertrains.
