Big discounts on Honda cars, SUVs in December 2019

With the year end now around the corner, Honda dealers are offering some substantial discounts on select models in their stocks as they look to make room for newer stocks. The carmaker is offering discounts and benefits ranging from Rs 21,000 all the way to Rs 5 lakh, depending on the model and variant in question.

Here is a closer look at some of the discounts and benefits.

    Honda CR-V diesel

Benefits up to Rs 5 lakh
Honda’s flagship SUV's diesel iteration continues to be offered with substantial discounts in the month of December. Those looking to pick up the all-wheel-drive diesel CR-V can avail of cash benefits of up to Rs 5 lakh on the vehicle, with its two-wheel-drive sibling being offered with benefits of up to Rs 4 lakh. As a brief recap, the diesel CR-V uses the same 120hp, 1.6-litre diesel offered in the Civic; the engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox as standard.

    Honda Civic

Benefits up to Rs 2.55 lakh
Honda brought back the Civic nameplate to India earlier this year, this time around with the choice of a diesel engine option – the same seen in the CR-V mentioned above. A rival to the Skoda Octavia, Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Corolla Altis, the sporty-looking executive sedan is now being offered with substantial discounts of up to Rs 2.55 lakh across all diesel variants. Those looking to buy the petrol Civic can avail benefits of up to Rs 1.55 lakh, including a mix of substantial cash discounts and accessories, depending on the variant.

    Honda BR-V

Benefits up to Rs 1.15 lakh
Honda’s seven-seat BR-V shares its engines with the City, though it hasn’t quite matched the midsize sedan’s popularity in the Indian market. A rival to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Mahindra Marazzo, the BR-V is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 1.15 lakh, including the choice of additional accessories and exchange bonuses.

    Honda City

    Benefits up to Rs 67,000
Honda is offering benefits and discounts of up to Rs 67,000 on its popular City midsize sedan. Offered with a choice of 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines – the latter is also shared with smaller model such as the Amaze, Jazz and WR-V, the City takes on the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Verna in our market. Honda recently revealed the all-new City in international markets, though the model's arrival in India is only slated for mid-2020.

    Honda Jazz

    Benefits up to Rs 55,000
Honda’s premium hatchback’s USP is the amount of space its packs in its sub-four-metre length. The hatchback can be had with either a 1.2-litre petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine – the former is available with either manual or automatic gearbox options. Honda is offering benefits of up to Rs 55,000 across all variants of the Hyundai i20 and Maruti Baleno rival for the month of December.

    Honda WR-V

    Benefits up to Rs 50,000
Essentially being a crossover derivative of the Jazz, the WR-V offers the spacious cabin as the former tough with a heavily re-worked front end, raised suspension and crossover design elements. Offered with the same choice of petrol and diesel engines as the Jazz, the WR-V is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 50,000, irrespective of the choice of engine or trim level.

    Honda Amaze

    Benefits up to Rs 47,000
The-second generation Amaze has proven to be a very popular model amongst compact sedan buyers, though it remains behind the hot-selling Maruti Suzuki Dzire in terms of sales numbers. The Amaze is offered with two engine options – a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel – with both units paired with either a manual or CVT gearbox option – it's the only diesel-CVT sedan in the segment. Honda is offering benefits of up to Rs 47,000 on its compact sedan, though it’s only in the form of extended warranties for the fourth and fifth year, plus an exchange bonus.
