    2019 VolksDrive Rally to be held on November 24

    Save the date! On November 24, 2019, the streets of Mumbai will witness some of the finest classic VW models at VolksDrive 2019 – the Volkswagen Classic Car Rally. The event will celebrate the rich history of Volkswagen cars in India, with a significant amount of classics expected to participate.

    The venue for the meet is Razzberry Rhinoceros in Juhu, from where the rally will be flagged off at 10:15 am. After a leisurely 2km drive, participants will return to the venue where they will be felicitated. This one-of-its-kind event is being conducted by Autocar India and Volkswagen India, to highlight the robustness and longevity of VW cars, and to preserve the heritage of classic VWs in India.

    In order to be eligible for the rally, the cars have to be pre-1999. The cars expected to participate include all types of classic Beetles, like the split rear window model, the super Beetle and the convertible, and at least two generations of the iconic VW bus. Also expected to join the rally are cars like the Karmann Ghia, early generation Golfs, Jettas and the famous Kublewagen and Kurierwagenare.
