2026 MG Hector facelift exterior
The size of the massive grille appears unchanged, but new honeycomb-like slats replace the diamond-shaped patterns, and the air dam below has a revised design. The 18-inch alloy wheels and the rear bumper are redesigned too, but the lights have been carried over, including the split headlamp setup and the LED lighting elements that connect the tail-lamps on either end.
New Celadon Blue and Pearl White shades have been added to the palette, joining Aurora Silver, Starry Black and Glaze Red, taking the total colour options to five.
2026 MG Hector facelift interior and features
The new 5-seat Hector gets a dual-tone Ice Grey interior, while the 6/7-seat Hector Plus comes with a dual-tone tan cabin. MG has also updated the portrait-style 14-inch touchscreen with its iSwipe touch gesture control technology, which allows the front passengers to adjust climate using two fingers and audio with three.
Other features, such as the 7-inch driver’s display, front ventilated seats, 6-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lights, a PM 2.5 air filter, a push-button start/stop system and a 360-degree camera, will continue to be offered.
2026 MG Hector facelift engine options
Both the updated Hector and Hector Plus will offer the same engine and gearbox options as their outgoing counterparts. The Hector petrol line-up comes with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine generating 143hp and 250Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
The upcoming Hector diesel line-up is expected to carry over the 2.0-litre mill producing 170hp and 350Nm. While the outgoing model offered the Fiat-sourced diesel engine only with a manual gearbox, it remains to be seen if MG will introduce an automatic option.
