Yezdi Adventure

The Yezdi Adventure gets a new asymmetrical headlamp that gives it more individuality and moves it away from the shadow of the Himalayan 411. The rear also gets new twin-pod LED tail-lamps, while the rest of the design remains largely unchanged. The overall quality and finish have improved, with details such as the footpeg holders and handlebar area giving the bike a better sense of quality. However, the fuel-tank logo is still not properly aligned and the fuel-filler cap is not hinged.

The Adventure is a large-looking motorcycle and is heavy, weighing around 200kg with fuel and the metal tank cage. It does not feel particularly top-heavy, though its weight can still be a factor at low speeds. The 815mm seat height makes it relatively approachable. The riding position is less comfortable for taller riders because the foot pegs are high and slightly rear-set, making the seat-to-footpeg relationship feel cramped on longer rides.

The 334cc single-cylinder engine produces 29.6hp and 29.6Nm and is described as smooth, refined and responsive. Low-speed tractability and fuelling are good, making it easy to use in the city without excessive heat reaching the rider. The short gearing allows it to cruise comfortably at around 90kph, although higher speeds push the engine to high revs.

The long-travel suspension feels soft and plush at lower speeds, soaking up broken roads well. At higher speeds, however, the rear suspension feels slightly underdamped and can pogo. Off-road riding is enjoyable at a relaxed pace, but the bike does not feel as composed as some rivals. Braking performance is adequate, although the front brake has a dull feel.

The Adventure gets three riding modes, including one that deactivates the rear ABS for off-road use. It also has switchable traction control that is not intrusive on the road. The bike uses a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup.

For the Tornado Black colour, the Yezdi Adventure occupies a distinct position in the ADV segment. The updated styling gives it additional appeal, while the smooth engine and comfortable low-speed suspension remain strong points. Its weight and cramped ergonomics for taller riders are the main drawbacks.
