Yezdi Bikes in India (3)

As of now, there are 3 Yezdi bikes available for sale in India. The Yezdi bike price starts at โ‚น1.94 lakh for the Roadster, which is the cheapest Yezdi bike, and goes up to โ‚น2.01 lakh for the Adventure, which is the most expensive Yezdi motorcycle in the lineup (ex-showroom). The brand does not offer any electric bikes or scooters for sale in India.

The current Yezdi bikes available in India include the Roadster, Scrambler, and Adventure. All three motorcycles are powered by a 334cc liquid-cooled petrol engine and are positioned in the mid-capacity segment. These Yezdi bikes compete with models from Royal Enfield and Honda in similar price brackets. As of now, no Yezdi new bike has been officially announced.

Yezdi is a legendary Indian motorcycle brand with roots dating back to the 1960s. The present Yezdi bikes carry on the legacy of the original Ideal Jawa bikes that were famous for their distinctive, popping exhaust note and cult following. All the Yezdi motorcycles available feature rugged, heritage-inspired looks with modern touches to give these motorcycles a raw, characterful feel. And, this is why they are quite popular among the enthusiasts who prefer something different from mainstream commuter bikes.

I am a first-time geared two-wheeler rider. I am an 11th-12th student planning to buy a bike as a birthday gift, and I am deciding between the Jawa 42 FJ and the Yezdi Roadster 2025 model. Which one should I buy? I am 181 cm tall and weigh 82 kg. Also, how should I maintain the bike in terms of cleaning, when should I clean it, and how can I prevent it from rusting?

Both the Jawa 42 FJ and Yezdi Roadster are mechanically very similiar with the only difference being some visual elements and how you sit on the bike. A test ride of both over various road conditions should help you decide which one is the right fit for you.

Coming to when to clean your bike, that's a very subjective thing based on where you live and how you store your vehicle. If you have covered parking that protects your bike from dust, then a soap wash once every 10 days to a fortnight should be more than sufficient. If you don't, then you may have to clean it more often.

To prevent rusting, try to regularly coat exposed metal parts with some sort of grease and try to keep them under a good-quality bike cover.

Hi, I own two bikes โ€” a Honda CB300R and a Yezdi Roadster 2025. Iโ€™m planning to go on long-distance tours and want to know if the Yezdi Roadster is good enough for touring. If I were to choose one bike thatโ€™s good for everything โ€” long tarmac rides and a bit of broken roads โ€” which one should I go for? Iโ€™m 5.5" tall, so seat height is also an important factor. Thank you.

Both the bikes you own can make for good touring partners. However, we would lean towards the Honda CB300R over the Yezdi Roadster.

Its seating position will keep you more comfortable on broken roads. The lighter weight and sprightlier performance also make it more engaging on smooth, winding tarmac roads.

Additionally, itโ€™s worth keeping track of service centres for both bikes in the region you plan to tour, just in case you need any mechanical assistance.

Iโ€™m planning to exchange my bike. I work in the forest department and often ride through tough terrain in the Western Ghats. Is the Yezdi Adventure a good choice for my use case?

The recently updated Yezdi Adventure is a decent option in its segment, but weโ€™d steer you toward the KTM 250 Adventure or TVS Apache RTX 300 instead.
Reason being, both of these machines are vastly lighter (nearly 20 kilos) than the Yezdi while bringing similar - if not more performance to the table. Then there is also the fact that Classic Legends has sadly garnered a reputation for less-than-stellar after-sales support, which is an important factor to consider.
All three bikes have comparable price tags, but the RTX's pricing is the easiest on the wallet if that is important to you.
