Jawa All Stars 42 Bobber
The Jawa All Stars 42 Bobber is a single-seat bobber built around a 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. It retains the low-slung stance, floating seat, chopped rear section and wide handlebar that define the 42 Bobber, while the new All Stars edition adds exclusive colour schemes and graphics. Jawa offers the All Stars 42 Bobber in five colours, with prices varying by paint scheme.
The All Stars version is mechanically unchanged from the earlier 42 Bobber, so the main reason to choose it is the updated appearance rather than additional performance or equipment. The current Jawa specification lists 29.9hp and 30Nm, a 740mm seat height, dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, a digital instrument console and a 7-step adjustable rear monoshock.
In our road test, we found that the 42 Bobber is easy to balance at low speeds because of its low seat height, but its riding position and stiff suspension make it less comfortable over broken roads or for extended rides. The test also found the bike's use case relatively narrow: it works better as a style-focused city motorcycle than as a conventional long-distance tourer. Its single-seat layout also means there is no provision for carrying a pillion.
Who should buy the Jawa All Stars 42 Bobber?
Reviews and specifications point to a few rider types this motorcycle suits best.
Buyer type | Why it fits |
Style Buyer | The low-slung bobber design, floating single seat, chopped rear section and exposed rear fender give it a distinctive appearance compared with conventional roadsters. |
Shorter Rider | The 740mm seat height makes getting both feet down easier than on many motorcycles in this engine class. |
City Rider | Its low seat and manageable balance at low speeds make it easier to handle around town, although the long wheelbase needs more room to turn than a compact roadster. |
Feature Buyer | LED lighting, a digital console, USB charging and dual-channel ABS give it useful everyday equipment without changing its fundamentally simple layout. |
Weekend Rider | The 334cc engine and 6-speed gearbox provide enough performance for relaxed highway use, provided the rider is comfortable with the firm ride and single-seat layout. |
