Bajaj Dominar 400 update teaser

Bajaj has teased the imminent launch of an updated Dominar on its social media handle. The Dominar modes haven’t seen an update in quite a while and are still powered by the older 373cc KTM-derived powerplant.

  1. Bajaj Dominar 400 currently priced at Rs 2.39 lakh
  2. Dominar could get same LCD display as Pulsar NS400Z
  3. Riding modes, ABS modes and traction control could be added

Bajaj Dominar updated model details

Dominar and Pulsar NS400Z could share their feature-set

The bike in the teaser is a Dominar 400 and we believe this is the model that will be updated. At the start of this year, a Dominar 400 was spotted at a dealership with the same colour LCD display as the new Pulsar NS400Z. With this update, it is likely that Bajaj will bestow the Dominar 400 with this dash, which will bring in riding modes, traction control and ABS modes - all features first seen on the biggest Pulsar.

Bajaj Dominar 400 tank and display

This display will replace the LCD display as well as the quirky tank-mounted digital strip for the tell-tale lights and gear position indicator, which has been on the Dominar since its launch. The Pulsar NS400Z’s LCD display also has basic Bluetooth connectivity which will also make its way to the Dominar 400. Bajaj is also working on an updated Pulsar NS400Z with more power, more features, better brakes and tyres and perhaps this more powerful state of tune for the 373cc motor could also make its way to the Dominar 400.

Ever since the Dominar 400 came out in 2019 with a USD fork, its motor has been rated for 40hp and 35Nm. Since then the bike has stayed largely unchanged and was only updated with some touring-focused add-ons, while remaining the same mechanically. It is also possible that the Dominar 250could similar updates to its bigger sibling, although that bike hasn’t been teased for an update.

Bajaj Dominar price and colours

Currently, the Dominar 400 is available in three colours - red, green and black - and is priced at Rs 2.39 lakh, while the smaller 250cc Dominar is priced at Rs 1.92 lakh and is available in three dual-tone shades of white/red, white/grey and white/yellow.

All prices ex-showroom, Delhi
