Deliveries set to begin this month
The Xoom 160 is finally ready for the streets
Bookings open; deliveries to commence soon.
After a long wait, Hero MotoCorp seems to have officially confirmed that deliveries for the Xoom 160 will begin this month. The scooter was launched in January, and deliveries seem to have been postponed due to delays. While there is no official date for deliveries in the social media post, we can expect to see the scooter on our roads by the end of the month.
The Xoom 160 is a maxi scooter with a tall stance, muscular and sharp bodywork, and rides on large 14-inch alloy wheels. The scooter has a heavy 142kg kerb weight and a fuel tank capacity of 7 litres. It is powered by a 156cc, liquid-cooled engine putting out 14.8hp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 14Nm at 6,500rpm.
Availability and rivals
The Xoom 160 scooter will be available at Hero Premia dealerships and will go up against the Yamaha Aerox and the upcoming TVS Ntorq 150. We look forward to riding the Xoom 160 on September 5, and you can watch out for our review that will be live very soon.
