The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 has made a return after about a 5-year gap, following the discontinuation of the first-generation model in 2020.
New AMG GT 63 gets sleeker headlights than the previous model.
20-inch multi spoke wheels are on offer as standard.
The AMG GT 63 Pro stands out with a more aggressive bumper and distinct wheels.
Digital appointments inside include a 12.3 inch driver's display and an 11.6-inch touchscreen in portrait orientation.
A key highlight of the AMG GT 63's cabin is its 2+2 seating layout, unlike its predecessor’s strict two seat setup.
Folding down the rear seats extends the boot space from 321 litres to 675 litres in the GT 63.
Mercedes' performance division AMG has launched the GT 63 and the more performance-focused GT 63 Pro in India at Rs 3 crore and Rs 3.65 crore (ex-showroom), respectively. With these coupes, AMG's India line-up now has nine models. Both GT 63s are powered by a hand-built 4-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic and AMG's 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive. In the GT 63, it makes 585hp and 800Nm, while the GT 63 Pro gets a bump to 612hp and 850Nm. The GT 63 does 0-100kph in 3.2 seconds, with the Pro shaving that to 3.1 seconds (with optional Cup 2R tyres). The Pro also hits a slightly higher top speed of 317kph, 2kph more than the standard coupe.
