The Mahindra Vision T is an evolution of the Thar.e concept from 2023 and it previews an upcoming model in the Thar family. This is underpinned by an all-new modular monocoque platform called the NU_IQ that’s going to be compatible with all types of powertrains – petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric. Measuring just over 4.3 meters, the production version of the Vision T will be Mahindra’s proper answer to the likes of the Hyundai Creta. Yes, Mahindra also has the Thar Roxx, but that’s a ladder-frame SUV with a clear rugged appeal. Having said that, the production version of the Vision T will also have substantial offroad ability – this platform can support both FWD and AWD, and Mahindra says it will also have class best ground clearance. The production version of the Vision T is expected to come sometime in 2027.
