Tata Motors will launch the updated Tiago EV tomorrow alongside the facelifted ICE Tiago hatchback. The electric hatchback gets revised styling, an updated interior and new features, while mechanical changes are also expected.

Here’s a look at what the 2026 Tata Tiago EV facelift is expected to offer.

1. What are the exterior design changes on the 2026 Tata Tiago EV?

The updated Tiago EV gets a redesigned front fascia with sleeker LED headlamps and eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lamps. The EV features a body-coloured closed-off grille, along with revised bumpers and vertical black trims on either side of the front bumper.

At the rear, the Tiago EV gets connected-style tail-lamps with multiple vertical LED elements joined by a chunky bar. Tata has also added a rear spoiler and redesigned aero-optimised wheels, likely 14-inchers.

2. What are the interior changes on the 2026 Tata Tiago EV?

Inside, the Tiago EV facelift gets a redesigned dashboard with a two-tone black-and-grey theme. The hatchback now features a ‘floating’-style touchscreen and driver’s displays mounted on the dashboard. Tata has also revised the centre console layout and added more gloss-black trims inside the cabin.

Feature additions are expected to include a 360-degree camera, rear AC vents, dual wireless phone chargers and a six-speaker audio system. Other expected features include a cooled glove box, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and powered outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs).

The Tiago EV facelift is also likely to get six airbags as standard, up from the two airbags offered earlier.

3. What are the battery pack options and range figures for the 2026 Tata Tiago EV?

Larger batteries and improved range expected

Tata Motors has not yet revealed official powertrain details for the updated Tiago EV. The outgoing model is available with 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery packs, paired with 61hp and 75hp electric motors, respectively. The claimed range figures for the 19.2kWh and 24kWh variants are 223km and 293km, respectively.

However, Tata could introduce larger and denser battery packs with the facelift, similar to the updates seen on the Punch EV. The Tiago EV may also adopt Tata’s new 6-in-1 electric drivetrain for improved efficiency and packaging.

4. What is the expected price of the 2026 Tata Tiago EV?

Prices likely to increase slightly

The current Tiago EV is priced between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 11.14 lakh, ex-showroom. Prices for the facelifted version are expected to increase slightly, although Tata could also introduce a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme to reduce the upfront purchase cost.

The updated Tiago EV will continue to rival the MG Comet and Citroen eC3.
