Vinfast VF MPV 7 vs Kia Carens Clavis EV compared

Making its debut on April 15, 2026, the Vinfast VF MPV 7 is the Vietnamese marque’s third product in India. Meanwhile, Kia launched the Carens Clavis EV in July 2025 as the Korean brand’s first electric MPV, positioning it alongside its combustion-powered namesake. Since Vinfast is only selling one variant of the VF MPV 7, we will pit it against a similarly priced Clavis EV. That said, let us now find out which car you should pick for Rs 25 lakh or so.

Some equipment that is totally missing in the Vinfast MPV but available in the Kia includes a two-pane panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats with electrical adjustment for the driver’s seat, and a premium Bose audio system with 8 speakers. There are also dual 12.25-inch digital displays in the Kia, wireless smartphone connectivity and sunshades for the second-row occupants.

The VF MPV 7 gets ‘Camp’ mode, which keeps the infotainment system, HVAC and lights on. However, the Carens Clavis EV offers a 64-colour ambient lighting system, a built-in air purifier with an AQI display and a retractable rear-seat table with an integrated cupholder. Where Vinfast offers a virtual assistant, Kia has equipped its electric MPV with a voice-command feature to control some of the on-board functions.
