Ferrari Luce interior hidden details

Ferrari has created quite a stir with the unveiling of the Luce EV’s interior. While it is refreshingly analogue and retro, it has also drawn criticism for its in-your-face Apple-inspired aesthetics. While the internet continues to be divided on Ferrari’s latest interior, the images shared by the Italian sports car maker have a few more details than what readily meets the eye. Here are some lesser-known technical details about the upcoming Ferrari Luce that we observed while digging deep through the interior images.

Four electric motors and four-wheel steering

When Ferrari revealed the first details of the Luce’s underpinnings in October 2025, the company had already disclosed that its upcoming EV would use a quad-motor setup, with one motor for each of the four wheels. Now, a ‘4WS’ graphic in one of the analogue-looking dials in the instrument cluster also suggests that the Luce will have four-wheel steering. There are also two levels to it, which could mean that the intensity and responsiveness of the steering could be altered depending on the Manettino setting.

Power outputs depend on powertrain modes

One of the headlining figures from the Luce’s spec sheet was that it will develop over 1,000hp from its quad motors combined. It will have a rear-biased power split, even allowing for the front axle to be completely disconnected for better efficiency. The new interior images now reveal there will be three modes for the powertrain – Range, Tour and Perfo – each allowing for a different level of power output.

Range, as the name suggests, will allow up to 50 percent power in the interest of efficiency. Tour, striking a middle ground between range and performance, will allow up to 70 percent power, but that could still be at least 630hp (as suggested by the central touchscreen). Lastly, Perfo will help unlock the full breadth of the EV’s potential.

Yet another cool detail is that the steering-mounted paddle shifter will allow for manual control of torque, essentially simulating gearshifts and allowing for progressive acceleration. Even cooler is the fact that there will be a prompt on the instrument cluster to optimise the torque delivery, replicating the gear shift indicator traditionally located on the steering wheel of ICE-powered Ferraris.

Three levels of suspension settings

The new steering wheel houses a dedicated button for suspension settings, and on closer evaluation, it appears there will be three levels to it. In most Ferraris, the suspension adjustability is baked into the Manettino setting, with a separate ‘bumpy road’ mode for compliance on poor road surfaces. However, the Luce appears to be doing it differently with three different levels of suspension settings, which will likely be manually adjustable.

Some other equipment highlights on the Ferrari Luce will include an ADAS suite, 4-zone climate control, ventilated front and rear seats, on-board telemetry, a 360-degree camera, and more. The Luce is slated for a full reveal in May 2026.
