6 things to know before buying the Bajaj Pulsar 125?

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 looks identical to its elder sibling – the Pulsar 150 – but as the suffix suggests it gets a smaller engine, making it more frugal while also costing much less than the 150. Here are a few things to know before buying one.

1. What is the peak output of the Bajaj Pulsar 125?

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 shares its engine fundamentals with the N125 although it produces a little less power than the latter. It belts out 11.8hp and 10.8Nm from a 124.38cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine.

2. What are the differences between the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150?

6 things to know before buying the Bajaj Pulsar 125?

Apart from the obvious differences such as a smaller engine, lower power output and a more affordable price point, the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 look largely identical in terms of design and even share a few body panels. However, with the recent update to the Pulsar 150 bringing an LED headlight and revised graphics, the visual differences are now more apparent. The Pulsar 125, meanwhile, continues with the classic Pulsar styling and a halogen headlight. Its alloy wheels are also different and are shared with the rest of the Pulsar 125 lineup, including the N125 and NS125.

3. What are the variants available with the Bajaj Pulsar 125?

The Pulsar 125 is available in two variants – Neon and Carbon-fibre. The top-spec Carbon-fibre variant is further divided into two sub-variants – single-seat and split-seat. The Neon variant gets a black base with 4 graphics colour options.

4. Does the Bajaj Pulsar 125 get twin disc brakes?

6 things to know before buying the Bajaj Pulsar 125?

No, unlike the Bajaj Pulsar 150 that gets an option of twin-disc brakes, the 125 doesn’t get twin-disc brakes and only gets a drum brake at the rear.

5. Does the Bajaj Pulsar 125 get all-LED lighting?

Unlike the Pulsar 220F and the Pulsar 150, which receive LED indicators—with the latter also getting an LED headlight—the smallest model in the Classic Pulsar range is limited to an LED taillight, shared across the entire Classic Pulsar lineup.

6. What is the price of the Bajaj Pulsar 125 and how affordable is it than the Pulsar 150?

6 things to know before buying the Bajaj Pulsar 125?

The Pulsar 125 is priced from Rs 79,048 to Rs 85,633, making it Rs 29,952 and Rs 23,367 cheaper, respectively, than the base Pulsar 150, which is priced at Rs 1.09 lakh.
