The Royal Enfield Bear 650 was the fifth bike on the company's 650cc platform and the first to be designed with light off-road capability in mind. Based on the Interceptor 650, the Bear gets significant upgrades including longer-travel suspension, a TFT display, and a unique two-into-one exhaust system.

What is the power and torque output of the Bear 650?

The Bear 650 is powered by Royal Enfield's 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 47hp. However, the Bear uses a two-into-one exhaust system that helps extract more torque from the motor. It makes 56.5Nm at 5,150rpm, which is 4.5Nm more than the Interceptor 650. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Peak power remains similar to other 650s, but the increased torque makes the engine feel a little more punchy.

What is the kerb weight of the Bear 650?

The Bear 650 weighs 216kg, making it 2kg lighter than the Interceptor 650. Despite the addition of a USD fork, strengthened chassis in key areas, and new wheels and tyres, Royal Enfield managed to keep the weight down thanks in part to the two-into-one exhaust system.

What is the fuel tank capacity of the Bear 650?

The Bear 650 is equipped with a 13.7-litre fuel tank, which is the same capacity as the Interceptor 650. This should give the Bear an approximate range of 300km on a full tank.

What is the seat height of the Bear 650?

The Bear 650 has a seat height of 830mm, making it one of the taller bikes in Royal Enfield's 650cc lineup. This is 26mm higher than the Interceptor 650's 804mm seat height. The increased seat height is a result of the longer-travel suspension and 19-inch front wheel (compared to the Interceptor's 18-inch front).

What is the price of the Bear 650 in India?

The Royal Enfield Bear 650 is priced between Rs 3.75 lakh and Rs 3.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), depending on which of the five colours you pick. The bike is available in five colours: Boardwalk White, Golden Shadow, Petrol Green, Two Four Nine, and Wild Honey.
