The Hero Karizma XMR is the company’s flagship fully-faired motorcycle and marked several firsts for Hero MotoCorp. It was the brand’s first motorcycle to feature a liquid-cooled DOHC engine, a steel trellis frame, and dual-channel ABS. If you’re considering buying one, here are answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about the bike.

What is the price of the Hero Karizma XMR?

The Hero Karizma XMR is currently available in two variants, with prices starting at Rs 1.86 lakh for the Top variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Combat variant is priced slightly higher at Rs 1.87 lakh. The motorcycle was previously also available in a Base variant, which was discontinued in July 2025.

What engine does the Hero Karizma XMR use?

The Karizma XMR is powered by a 210cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 25.5hp at 9,250rpm and 20.4Nm at 7,250rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. During our time with the bike, we found the engine to be smooth and easy-going at lower revs, while performance becomes noticeably more exciting past 7,000rpm, where it delivers a strong, KTM-like top-end rush all the way to the redline.

What features does the Hero Karizma XMR get?

The Top and Combat variants of the Karizma XMR feature a golden USD fork and a 4.2-inch TFT display borrowed from the Hero Xpulse 210. Other highlights include a Class-D LED projector headlamp with automatic illumination, an H-shaped LED tail lamp, dual-channel ABS, and a USB fast-charging port. The Karizma XMR also gets a segment-first adjustable windscreen, which can be raised or lowered by 30mm using a simple button-and-pull mechanism.

What is the seat height and weight of the Hero Karizma XMR?

The Hero Karizma XMR has a seat height of 810mm and a kerb weight of 163.5kg. Its relatively low weight gives it a healthy power-to-weight ratio for the segment, and we also found the ergonomics to be far more comfortable than the bike’s sporty appearance initially suggests. In terms of character, it feels closer to the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 than more aggressive, track-focused faired motorcycles.

What colour options are available on the Hero Karizma XMR?

The Hero Karizma XMR is available in four colour options overall. The Top variant is offered in Phantom Black, Turbo Red, and Iconic Yellow, while the Combat variant is available exclusively in Combat Grey.

What do you think about the push for ethanol blends even higher than E20 petrol?

Good move; it cuts dependence on crude oil imports
I support it as it’s a greener solution than pure petrol
I’ll accept it only if it’s cheaper than E20 petrol
I am concerned about damage to my vehicle
Not good; fuel efficiency will drop even further
