While the GST (Goods and Services Tax) on used cars has not changed, popular pre-owned car platform Spinny has announced price drops across its inventory ahead of GST 2.0 rates for new cars. Those looking to sell their car through Spinny can also avail of benefits before September 22.

  1. Used car buyers can avail price drops up to Rs 2 lakh
  2. Sellers could avail of benefits up to Rs 20,000 before September 22

Spinny used cars price drop

Discounts effective immediately

The company has announced that buyers of used cars can avail of reduced prices across its stock of pre-owned models, with discounts up to Rs 2 lakh, effective immediately. In addition, those who sell their car to Spinny before the September 22 deadline can potentially get benefits up to Rs 20,000.

Spinny says rather than waiting for the downstream effects of the new GST rate on new cars to play out, the company is looking to “align pricing with the evolving market context to deliver immediate value”. Hanish Yadav, senior vice president and business head at Spinny, said, “We’ve taken a proactive stance, adjusting prices before the GST reforms take effect. This ensures our customers can make confident decisions today, without waiting or second-guessing market movements.”
