The Vinfast VF5 is expected to be launched in India by mid-2026. Vinfast, however, has not confirmed the VF5's launch date.
Based on its powertrain specifications, the Vinfast VF5 is likely to rival either the Tata Tiago EV or the Tata Punch EV.
In the international markets, the VF5 is available with either a 29.6kWh or a 37.23kWh battery pack.
As per the NEDC cycle, the smaller 29.6kWh battery pack has a claimed range of 268km, while the larger battery has a claimed range of 326km.
The Vinfast VF5 measures 3,967mm in length, 1,723mm in width, and 1,579mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,514mm.
The Vinfast VF5 claims a ground clearance of 160mm.
The Vinfast VF5 has a boot space of 260 litres.
In the international market, the Vinfast VF5 gets amenities like an 8-inch infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, a 4-speaker sound system and an air purifier.
Safety suite includes 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill start assist and ISOFIX child seat anchorages. The VF5 has not been crash tested by any NCAP organisation.
