•30wI want a powerful vehicle to build a campervan. The Tata Yodha and Mahindra are two options, but they are very rough to drive. I can extend my budget up to ₹20 lakh, but want something strong yet more refined. Is there any chance of an electric vehicle suitable for this purpose becoming available and legal in the near future?

If you can extend your budget further, it’s worth going for the Isuzu D-Max V-cross for your campervan project. Like the Tata and Mahindra, the Isuzu is rugged too but offers a more refined drive experience. It also gets a punchy 163hp, 360Nm 1.9-litre diesel engine and it can even be had with an automatic gearbox for added convenience. As for an electric option, there’s nothing on the horizon just yet. Isuzu did showcase an electric version of the D-Max at the Bharat Mobility Show but it’s unlikely to be launched here.
