Discounts of up to Rs 2 lakh on Isuzu’s MU-X

The Isuzu MU-X SUV received a mild-life facelift late last year, which brought a few styling tweaks, increased equipment and the number of safety features. Isuzu is now offering special festive season discounts and benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh on the MU-X. The discount, which will be available on both variants of the SUV, will only be available until October 31, 2019.

In terms of the design, MU-X facelift gets a restyled front bumper, projector headlamps with LED DRLs and a slightly tweaked rear bumper. LED inserts have been added to the tail-lamps and the large 18-inch alloys wheels complete the muscular look. The interiors on the refreshed model get plenty of soft-touch surfaces, while the dashboard has been given a more upmarket look along with the silver plastic inserts. Also part of the package is leather upholstery, a centre armrest with a cup holder in the second row, a powered driver’s seat and keyless entry and go.

Power comes from the same 3.0-litre, turbo-diesel engine as its predecessor, which is now tuned to produce 177hp and 390Nm of torque. Isuzu offers this engine with a single 5-speed automatic gearbox option.

Isuzu is also offering festive discounts on its D-Max V-Cross pick-up truck, though the schemes are only available on the base variant, which uses the older 136hp, 2.5-litre turbo-diesel engine that comes paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Interestingly, the top-sec variant of the V-Cross – the recently launched High+ Z Prestige – which comes with the newer 150hp, 1.9-litre turbo-diesel mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, is not being offered with any discounts.

There are also discounts upward of Rs 50,000 that are being offered on all variants of Isuzu’s range of commercial vehicles, which includes the D-Max and S-Cab.
