Sitting below the Venue in Hyundai’s SUV lineup, the Exter debuted in 2023. The subcompact Hyundai SUV is now due for an update, with the Exter facelift launch expected in mid 2026. Upon its arrival, the 2026 Hyundai Exter will rival the Citroen C3, Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Tata Punch, plus entry-level variants of the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. The expected price of Hyundai Exter facelift is approximately around Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Hyundai Exter facelift is expected to get the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine in petrol and CNG versions as the pre facelift model. In its current state of tune, the four cylinder petrol engine makes 83hp and 114Nm, while the CNG version produces 69hp and 95Nm. The pre facelift Exter is offered with manual and automated manual transmission options, with the CNG variants only getting the manual gearbox. Design changes to the Exter facelift interior are expected to be minimal.
