Mahindra-owned Ssangyong has unveiled the Tivoli facelift for the South Korean market. The SUV has received some design tweaks to the exterior, but the bulk of the changes have been made to the inside. The refreshed Tivoli was spied testing in India a few months ago.

Starting with the exterior, the new Tivoli features a redesigned front bumper with larger air intakes at the bottom, along with a mildly restyled grille and headlights. The changes at the rear are much more noticeable as the tailgate has been heavily restyled, while the tail-lights and rear bumper have also been tweaked.

The cabin of the Tivoli facelift comes equipped with a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster, an all-new dashboard, along with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and soft-touch materials.

Powering the Tivoli facelift is a new 1.5-litre, turbo-petrol engine that is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The Korean carmaker has not revealed any details about the engine’s output, but the new engine is expected to produce around 160hp and 280Nm of torque.

Although Ssangyong doesn’t directly sell any car in our market anymore, we do get some of its cars, which are re-engineered for India and sold by Mahindra. Currently, Mahindra offers the Alturas G4, which is based on the Ssangyong G4 Rexton, and the XUV300, which is based on the outgoing Ssangyong Tivoli.
