Skoda has revealed the production-spec version of the Epiq, the Czech carmaker’s smallest and most affordable EV to date. The Epiq was first previewed as a concept over two years ago, followed by a closer-to-production-spec version at the 2025 Munich Motor Show. It will be Skoda’s new entry-level EV globally, positioned below the Elroq.
- Epiq adopts Skoda’s Modern Solid design language
- 13-inch touchscreen, panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting in feature list
- 38.5kWh and 55kWh batteries on offer, up to 211hp and 290Nm via front-mounted motor
- Up to 440km claimed range, 10-80 percent DC fast charging in 24 minutes
Skoda Epiq exterior design

Adopting Skoda’s ‘Modern Solid’ design language, the Epiq does well to balance upright proportions and rounded edges. Up front, the electric SUV gets a ‘SKODA’ wordmark on the bonnet and a blacked-out grille section flanked by slim, angled DRLs. The main headlight units (Matrix LED headlights are optionally available) flow downwards from the DRLs into ‘L’ shapes, and are connected by a black section in the bumper. Lower down, the Epiq has a chunky bumper with eight slats and a silver skid plate.

The Epiq’s side profile sports subtle body cladding, aero-optimised alloy wheels sized from 17 to 19 inches, ‘SKODA’ lettering on the C-pillars, black roof rails, and a gently sloping roofline. T-shaped LED tail-lamps take centre stage on the rear end, along with a high-set ‘SKODA’ wordmark, a sizable roof spoiler, and a similar slatted bumper design to that of the front.

Dimensionally, the Epiq measures 4,171mm in length, 1,798mm in width, 1,581mm in height, and 2,601mm in wheelbase. It also has an impressively low drag coefficient of 0.275.
Skoda Epiq interior and features

Inside, the Epiq is available with different colour schemes depending on the trim level, such as grey, mint green, and brown. The dashboard is dominated by a 13-inch Android-based infotainment touchscreen, along with a two-spoke steering wheel and a small digital driver's display. Thankfully, Skoda has retained a healthy amount of physical controls in the Epiq's cabin, specifically underneath the central AC vents and on the steering wheel. Strips of ambient lighting run across the dashboard and door liners, and there's also a floating centre console with lots of storage spaces.

Depending on the spec, the Epiq offers creature comforts like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a wireless charging pad, a 10-speaker Canton sound system, V2L and V2V functionalities, an ADAS suite, 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and more. Boot space is rated at 475 litres, and the Epiq gets a 25-litre frunk too.
Skoda Epiq battery and range

The Epiq is underpinned by the same MEB+ platform as that of the Volkswagen ID Polo. Two battery options are on offer, namely 38.5kWh and 55kWh, all with front-mounted motors (FWD). Three variants of the Epiq will be on offer: 35, 40, and 55. Both the 35 and 40 variants get the 38.5kWh battery, outputting 116hp and 135hp, respectively – torque is fixed at 267Nm. The top-spec Epiq 55, meanwhile, is paired with the 55kWh pack and outputs 211hp and 290Nm.

Coming to claimed range figures, Skoda cites 310km for the 38.5kWh battery and 440km for the 55kWh unit. For the larger battery, a 10-80 percent top-up from a DC fast charger is claimed to take around 24 minutes.
