Toyota has revealed a teaser of the new Hilux ahead of its global debut on November 10. The rugged pickup is expected to receive updates to its exterior, interior, powertrain and features.

New Toyota Hilux exterior and interior details
Retains the Hilux silhouette with a new front fascia.
The new Hilux will get a redesigned front fascia with a revised bumper, sleeker headlights and daytime running lamp (DRL) signatures, and muscular character lines on the bonnet. Notably, the Toyota logo on the grille will be replaced by Toyota lettering, like in the upcoming models such as the Land Cruiser FJ.
Expect new designs for fenders and alloy wheels as well. At the rear, the new Hilux gets refreshed LED tail-lamps and bumper. The doors and glasshouse remain unchanged. While not much of the interior was revealed in teasers, the cabin is expected to boast newer screens and better materials.
New Toyota Hilux powertrain details
Expected to come with a mild-hybrid diesel engine.
The new Hilux is likely to retain the old model’s diesel powertrain, but it will be paired with a 48-Volt mild-hybrid system comprising a belt-integrated starter generator, a DC-DC converter and a secondary lithium-ion battery. This setup also powers the Fortuner Neo Drive, producing 204hp and 500Nm of torque, mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic with a 4x4 system.

New Hilux expected price range is Rs 27 lakh-37 lakh.
While an India launch for the new Hilux is not yet confirmed, expect it this year or early next year. The new Toyota Hilux will likely be priced in the range of Rs 27 lakh-37 lakh. For context, the Hilux currently on sale here is priced from Rs 28 lakh to Rs 35 lakh.
