Maruti has announced a service campaign for the new Dzire to address a possible fault in the rear-wheel hub. As per details revealed by Maruti, this will affect 21,494 examples of the Dzire, manufactured between February 23, 2017 and July 10, 2017. Inspection and replacement would be done free of cost for the customer. Maruti had already begun contacting customers whose cars have been affected by the recall since the beginning of October

Additionally, owners of the new Dzire can also verify whether their cars are due for recall by entering their vehicle chassis number (MA3 followed by 14-digit alpha-numeric number) into a special portal provided on Maruti Suzuki’s website.

Maruti’s popular compact sedan has already achieved record sales of over 1 lakh, in India, since its launch in May 2017 and has become the fastest-selling Maruti ever.
