First shown in concept form at Auto Expo 2018, the all-electric Mahindra eKUV100 has just been launched at Auto Expo 2020. Mahindra eKUV100 prices start at Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi, including FAME II scheme benefits) making it the most affordable electric car on sale in India at the moment.

The eKUV100 uses a 40kW (54.4hp) electric motor which sends power to the front wheels. The liquid-cooled battery provides the EV with a claimed 150km range on a single charge, and it can be charged in just 5hr 45min on a regular charger, or 55min on a fast charger.

Few styling changes differentiate the eKUV100 from the standard combustion-engine KUV100 NXT. It features a closed front grille to aid aerdynamics and the fuel door ( which houses the charging port in this EV) has been relocated on the front fender.

Apart from the eKUV, the Mahindra stall at Auto Expo also displayed the Funster convertible SUV concept, the eXUV300 and the Atom electric quadricycle.
