The Jeep Wrangler facelift is all set to be launched in India on April 22, 2024. Introduced globally about a year ago, the facelifted Wrangler is finally headed here with a refreshed design and new features.

    1. Gets new blacked-out grille with slimmer slots
    2. Bigger infotainment screen with connected-tech

    Jeep Wrangler facelift: exterior changes

The Wrangler facelift gets an all-black grille, with the iconic seven-slat design being slimmer than the current model. Globally, the Wrangler is available with 10 different alloy wheel designs ranging from 17-20 inches, with tyre sizes going up to 35 inches. It gets multiple roof options: the standard soft top, a body-coloured hard top, a black hard top, a combination of a hard and soft top, a Sunrider top that just opens up for the front passengers and a dual-door group with half doors.

Jeep Wrangler facelift interior and features

A new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system takes center stage and is standard across all variants. The infotainment screen runs on Jeep’s Uconnect 5 system that brings connected features to the SUV, including the Trails Offroad guide, which has 62 well-known off-road trails incorporated into it.

The AC vents in the middle are now placed under the infotainment screen, but the rest of the cabin layout remains largely unchanged. It also gets 12-way power adjustable front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a new semi-digital instrument cluster.

    Jeep Wrangler facelift powertrain

The India-spec pre-facelift Jeep Wrangler is available with a 270hp, 400Nm, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic and Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system as standard. The Wrangler facelift is expected to retain this powertrain in India as the sole option.

Jeep Wrangler facelift price and rivals

The Jeep Wrangler is currently available in two variants – Unlimited and Rubicon, priced at Rs 62.65 lakh and Rs 66.65 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. While it has no direct rival, it does face competition from the Land Rover Defender.
