Jeep Compass, Meridian, Grand Cherokee get big year-end discounts

Jeep India has had a relatively quiet 2023, barring the introduction of the Compass diesel 2WD automatic. In order to push sales before the year ends, the American off-road brand is offering tempting discounts across its SUV line-up. We take a look at Jeep India’s year-end discount list.

Jeep Grand Cherokee: up to Rs 11.85 lakh discount

Jeep’s flagship SUV in India, the Grand Cherokee, is powered by a 272hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Power is sent to all four wheels and the Grand Cherokee is equipped with selectable terrain modes – Auto, Sport, Mud/Sand and Snow. The Grand Cherokee is one of the few SUVs in the segment to be offered exclusively with a petrol engine. Discounts and benefits of Rs 11.85 lakh are being offered on limited units of the SUV.

Jeep Meridian: up to Rs 2.0 lakh discount

The three-row Meridian comes with the tried-and-tested 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine. It has a plush cabin with a competitive features list. The Meridian isn’t really a strong-seller and is now being offered at year end discounts totalling Rs 2.0 lakh. This comprises of exchange benefits worth Rs 25,000 on select models. Jeep is also oiffering a special discount for doctors, leasing companies and partners up to Rs 30,000 on the top-spec Meridian Overland variants.

Jeep Compass: up to Rs 90,000 discount

The Compass is Jeep’s bread-and-butter product for India. Due to constant price hikes and newer, bigger SUVs now available at competitive prices, sales of the entry-level Compass have been hurt. Jeep recently introduced the Compass 4x2 diesel-automatic as well. End of the year discounts on the Compass amount to a maximum of Rs 90,000. Benefits worth Rs 15,000 are also on offer for doctors, leasing companies and partners.
