Honda had unveiled the new X-Blade motorcycle on the opening of the ongoing Auto Expo 2018, and it will be positioned in between the Honda CB Hornet 160R and the Honda Unicorn 160. Now, the Japanese two-wheeler giant has unveiled a new adventure version of the motorcycle at the motor show.

The Honda X-Blade Adventure features a more pronounced windscreen, hand guards and a carrier at the rear. Honda says they might launch the adventure kit for the Honda X-Blade if they receive a positive response at the motor show. This kit will be similar to what Honda offers one for the Honda Navi.

Other additions on the Honda X-Blade Adventure include faux carbon-fibre trimming, matte-grey paint and camouflage graphics on fuel tank extensions. The rear carrier looks sturdy enough to fix a tail box or additional luggage while touring.

However, all the updates made on the Honda X-Blade Adventure are cosmetic and we would have liked to see long-travel suspension, spoked wheels and knobby tyres to improve its off-road credentials.

Powering the bike is the same motor with a five-speed gearbox as seen on the X-Blade, which churns out 13.9hp at 8,500rpm and 13.9Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Its underpinnings are similar to the X-Blade and include a diamond-type frame suspended on telescopic front forks and rear monoshocks. Braking is carried out by a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the rear.

Honda will launch the new X-Blade in India by March 2018 and whether this adventure kit will be made available is something that we will find out at the launch.
