The Ford Endeavour Sport has just officially been teased by the carmaker. The Endeavour Sport will be a new blacked-out variant of the SUV that is slated to launch in India on September 22.

    • It will feature a new grille and gloss black accents on the exterior.
    • Interiors and equipment on offer are expected to remain unchanged.
    • Will continue to use the 2.0-litre, turbo-diesel engine as before.

What will be new on the Ford Endeavour Sport?

Most notably, the Ford Endeavour Sport will feature a number of black accents on the exterior. For starters, all the chrome and silver accents from the standard Endeavour – like on the front and rear skid plate, grille surround, ORVM, fender vents and side-step – will be changed to gloss black. Additionally, it will also feature a new black honeycomb grille, a new ‘Sport’ badge on the tailgate and decal on the side, as well as black alloy wheels.

The Endeavour Sport’s interiors are expected to carry forward the standard model’s dual-tone beige and black theme. The equipment on offer will also, in all probability, remain the same.

Will the Ford Endeavour Sport get any mechanical changes?

Mechanically, Ford is not expected to make any changes to the Endeavour Sport. This means it will feature the updated BS6 Endeavour’s 2.0-litre, turbo-diesel EcoBlue engine that’s capable of making 170hp and 420Nm of torque. This engine comes paired to a sole 10-speed automatic gearbox. You can read our BS6 Ford Endeavour review to see what this engine-gearbox combination is like to drive.

What will the Ford Endeavour Sport rival?

As the Sport will be a variant in the Endeavour’s range, it will face competition from the likes of the Toyota Fortuner and the Mahindra Alturas G4. This list will expand once the new MG Gloster flagship SUV is launched in the coming months (positioned on the higher end of the segment).
