After months of speculation and testing, the Hyundai Creta facelift for India has been snapped undisguised. Hyundai has been testing the Creta in India for a few months now and is expected to launch the SUV in May 2018.

The refreshed Creta will get styling similar to that seen on the South American-spec SUV. The model spied in India, likely being used for a TV commercial shoot, wears a two-tone paint job, which means the top-spec trims could get this option. The refreshed Creta appears to get a larger hexagonal grille with a thick chrome surround, which merges with the chunky new front bumper that sports creases and has separate housings for the fog lamps. Also new is a thick black chin that further enhances the SUV's muscular appearance.

At the rear, the Creta facelift comes with a slightly redesigned bumper, and there are chances it'll get mildly tweaked tail-lamps with LED inserts as well.

Another crucial addition will be that of a sunroof, again mostly on the top-end model. This inclusion is to meet the growing demand for the feature across car segments. A sunroof, for instance, is a key differentiator on the Honda WR-V cross-hatch.

As far as engines go, the Creta is likely to continue with the current set of engines, including the 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel units. Hyundai dealers haven't revealed any information about the updated Creta, but we expect bookings to commence by the end of this month.
