Additionally, the updated BMW Z4 roadster will also go on sale in India by May this year, with the all-new BMW M2 expected to see a price announcement around the same time period.

BMW X5 facelift for India: launch by August 2023

The updated X5 gets lightly reworked exterior styling with a reprofiled front bumper and more design differences for the M sport model. Some of the styling bits are inspired by the recently introduced refreshed BMW X7 flagship SUV.

On the inside, the SUV gets more updates like the new curved digital panel mounted atop a reworked dashboard. Running the latest 8.0 version of BMW’s iDrive operating system, it houses a 12.3-inch instrument display and 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment display as standard. It also gets the BMW Live Cockpit Plus system, which includes cloud-based BMW Maps navigation. The air conditioning controls also receive touch functions.

Expected options on the India-bound X5 facelift will include a head-up display unit with augmented reality functionality, a panoramic glass sunroof with LED illumination, glass applications for various controls and a Bowers & Wilkins sound system. Expect more details on the new BMW X5's option list and their pricing for India soon. There no mechanical changes expected to the India-spec BMW X5 and the SUV will most likely continue with the current set of petrol and diesel engine options.
