    In the run-up to the festive season, mass market and premium carmakers are offering benefits and discounts on some of their unsold inventory and slower-selling models. If you’re looking to buy a new SUV or MPV this month, check out all the concessions you can avail:

    Mahindra Rexton

    Save up to Rs 8 lakh
    Mahindra is gearing up to bring the updated Rexton (currently codenamed Y400) to India on October 9. In a bid to clear stocks of the current model, Mahindra dealerships are now offering whopping discounts and benefits of up to Rs 8 lakh. The Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour rival is a smart-looking SUV that has a long features list. The 2.7-litre diesel motor gets 5-speed manual and automatic transmission options.

    BMW X1 sDrive20d Expedition

    Save up to Rs 5.6 lakh
    The latest-gen X1 has a spacious cabin, upright stance, and high-quality interiors. It comes with a punchy 190hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine. Due to the arrival of new rivals like the Volvo XC40, BMW is offering attractive benefits of around Rs 5.6 lakh on the sDrive20d Expedition variant, at most locations. Additionally, the sportier X1 M Sport range gets benefits of about Rs 4.5 lakh.

    Hyundai Tucson

    Save up to Rs 1.5 lakh
    The Hyundai Tucson is a rival to the Compass. It comes with petrol and diesel engine options, and also gets a four-wheel-drive variant. It has a premium cabin and a good list of features. Discounts and benefits of around Rs 1.5 lakh are on offer on all variants.

    Honda CR-V

    Save up to Rs 1.5 lakh
    Honda will bring the all-new, fifth-gen CR-V to India on October 9. Dealers are offering discounts and benefits of up to Rs 1.5 lakh on the Volkswagen Tiguan and Hyundai Tucson rival to clear inventory. Unlike the upcoming model that gets seven seats and a diesel engine option, the current CR-V is a five-seater and is powered by either a 156hp, 2.0-litre petrol or a 190hp, 2.4-litre petrol motor. While the former is gets 6-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmission options, the latter only gets the 5-speed auto 'box. All-wheel drive is only available with the 2.4-litre motor.

    Mahindra XUV500 MT (pre-facelift)

    Save up to Rs 1 lakh
    The top-spec, pre-facelift XUV500 is being offered at a discount of around Rs 1 lakh. Haggle hard and you might get even more benefits, as Mahindra has already introduced the updated model in the market. The XUV500 comes with a long list of features, including a sunroof in higher trims. Its seven-seat cabin is spacious and all three rows are usable.

    Honda BR-V

    Save up to Rs 1 lakh
    The BR-V is a seven-seat alternative to the Creta, but it does not come with a diesel-AT option. It shares a lot with the Honda City on the inside, which means premium quality bits are an added advantage. Discounts of Rs 65,000 are being offered on the BR-V at most Honda outlets.

    Nissan Terrano

    Save up to Rs 75,000
    A tough SUV, the Terrano’s design divides opinion. In addition to sharing its platform and underpinnings with the Duster, the Terrano also shares its 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options with the Renault. However, Nissan’s SUV misses out all-wheel drive, a feature most of its rivals have. Select Nissan dealerships are offering benefits of up to Rs 75,000 on the SUV.

    Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

    Save up to Rs 75,000
    Prior ot t launch of the all-new Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki dealers are offering discounts and benefits of up to Rs 75,000 on the current MPV. The model on sale now is powered by 92hp, 1.4-litre petrol and 90hp, 1.3-litre diesel engines, both of which are paired to a 5-speed manual. The petrol gets the option of a 4-speed automatic as well. The second-gen Ertiga will get the Ciaz facelift’s 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine, and micro-hybrid tech is also likely to be introduced.

    Mahindra Scorpio

    Save up to Rs 70,000
    Select Mahindra dealerships are now offering benefits and discounts of up to Rs 70,000 on higher-spec variants of the SUV – the S5, S7 and S11. The S5 and lower-spec S7 are powered by a 120hp version of the 2.2-litre diesel motor, while the higher-spec S7 and S11 get the same engine but in a 140hp state of tune. All-wheel drive is only available on the top-spec S11 4WD trim.

    Tata Hexa

    Save up to Rs 65,000
    The Hexa MPV is stylish and offers a premium cabin with a decently long equipment list. In a bid to push sales, customers can now avail benefits of up to Rs 65,000 at most Tata dealerships. The MPV is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel motor that comes in 150hp (on the lower-spec XE trim) and 156hp (XM, XMA, XT and XTA trims) states of tune. The XE gets a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the 156hp trims get 6-speed manual and automatic options. The top-spec XT (including the XTA and XT 4x4) also get the option of a six-seater configuration.

    Mahindra TUV300, TUV300 Plus

    Save up to Rs 65,000
    One of Mahinda’s compact SUVs, and its extended version can now be bought with discounts of up to Rs 65,000 at select outlets. Lower-spec versions of the TUV300 are powered by an 84hp, 1.5-litre diesel, while the higher-spec T10 trims get the same motor in a 100hp state of tune. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual and AMT across the range. Mahindra dealers are also offering benefits of up to Rs 65,000 on the base-spec TUV300 Plus P4, which gets a more powerful 120hp, 2.2-litre diesel engine.

    Honda WR-V

    Save up to Rs 45,000
    Honda dealerships across the country are offering benefits of up to Rs 45,000 on Honda’s Jazz-based cross-hatch. The WR-V shares its 90hp, 1.2-litre petrol, and 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine with its hatchback sibling, but does not get the option of a CVT automatic. The rival to the Fiat Avventura is a practical option but it comes at a premium.

    Discounts vary from city to city and depend on availability. Please check with your dealer for exact discounts.
