MG 4 EV: exterior, interior and features

Dimensionally, the MG4 is about the same size as the ZS EV SUV, which is already on sale here. In overseas markets, it takes on cars like the Volkswagen ID.3. The MG4 is an attractive-looking hatchback with some crossover-inspired design cues. It features crisp lines, sheer surfaces and certain details that seem inspired by the Cyberster roadster concept.

While the exterior is sharply styled, the interior is rather minimalistic. The dash features clean, horizontal lines, with the highlight being two floating screens for the infotainment and instrument cluster. An interesting feature here includes the centre console that sticks out with a rotary dial and wireless charging pad. In terms of features, the MG4 comes with a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats and ADAS.

MG 4 EV: powertrain and range details

In international markets, the MG4 EV is available with two battery packs – 51kWh and a larger 64kWh; the former produces 170hp, while the latter makes 203hp. Torque output on both versions is rated at 250Nm, and both come in single-motor, rear-wheel drive configuration.

MG claims the smaller battery pack can return a range of up to 350km, while the larger one has a range of 452km – both on the WLTP cycle. The MG4 EV is compatible with a 150kW DC charger.

    What else did MG display?

In addition to the MG4 EV, the carmaker also lauched the Hector and Hector Plus facelifts for Rs 14.73 and Rs 20.80 lakh respectively.
