The Audi Q2 SUV can now be booked at your nearest Audi dealer or on the company’s website against a payment of Rs 2 lakh. Audi’s smallest SUV, the Q2, will have no direct rivals in the Indian market as the SUV is half a size smaller than the likes of the Mercedes GLA and BMW X1.

  • Expected to be priced around Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom)
  • Powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with Quattro all-wheel drive

Commenting on the announcement, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Audi India head, said, “We are extremely happy to open bookings for the Audi Q2. Our fifth launch for the year, the Audi Q2 is an extremely important product for India as it opens up a new segment of buyers for the brand. It is a Luxury All-Rounder that is big on features and extends the successful Q-family.”

He also said that those who book the SUV would benefit from a comprehensive 5-year warranty and roadside assistance as part of a ‘Peace of Mind’ programme. Under the programme, customers will be offered a complimentary 3-year extended warranty and roadside assistance over and above the standard 2-year cover.

Audi Q2 India details: A brief recap

Audi’s fifth launch in India this year, the Q2 is the carmaker’s smallest SUV, slotting below the Q3 in the carmaker’s line-up. Built on the VW Group’s MQB platform, the Q2 measures 4,191mm in length, 1,794mm in width, 1,508mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,601mm. Styling is typical Audi SUV, with a large single-frame front grille, chunky headlights and plenty of cladding on the bumpers and around the sides. The cabin is in line with other smaller Audis, with a high-set infotainment screen and turbine-style air-con vents.

Audi Q2 engine and gearbox

The carmaker has confirmed that the Q2 will be available with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with its Quattro all-wheel drive system. The unit makes 190hp and 320Nm of torque and will be mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Audi recently revealed an updated Q2 in international markets, though the car for India is expected to be the pre-facelift model. Audi Q2 images on the company’s India website also hint at the same. Expect Q2 prices to start around the Rs 35 lakh mark (ex-showroom).
