2025 World Car of the Year top three finalists

The World Car Awards has released the top three finalists for the World Car of the Year award and top three in each category. The World Car Awards jury consists of 96 distinguished automotive journalists from 30 countries, including Hormazd Sorabjee, editor of Autocar India, and Renuka Kirpalani, consulting editor (video), Autocar India.

World Car of the Year 2025: top three finalists

In January 2025, World Car Awards released the list of ten finalists for the top honour. Out of these, the BMW X3, Hyundai Inster/ Casper Electric and Kia EV3 made the cut into the top three. 

Along with selecting the top three for the highest award, three cars were also selected under other categories. Here’s a look at the three finalists in their respective categories.

2025 World Car Award: winner announcement

After announcing the top three finalists, the next step is to declare the winner. The 2025 World Car of the Year will be announced on April 16 at the New York Auto show.
